Usually I have only had one gun to worry about. Luckily I find myself having 4 different guns. Now is my problem. I have a G22 (40cal) P229 (40cal) EMP (9mm) and PM9 (9mm). I put my PM up for trade for a PM40, G27, and other pocket size 40 cal. I got a hell of a deal on a G33 (357 sig) and have decided to go with it, since I can throw a 40 cal barrel in it at a later date.

My question is, how many have multiple guns with multiple calibers? 9mm, 40, and 357 sig is quite a variety. Still trying to decide if I really want to go with the 357 sig or not. Thoughts? Opinions?

No caliber stopping power debates, just a simple multiple caliber arsenal discussion. Thanks.

My wife and I currently have 4 and I'm thinking about a 5th. I have no large caliber pistols and would like to add a .45 or .357 sig. Curretnly have 1-5.7x28mm, 2-.380, 1-9mm. Kind of wanted the full range without going too bonkers on really large .44, .454, 50AE. Not the greatest way to minimize ammo cost though.

I have 40, 357 SIG and 380 currently. I am looking for a good deal on some 9mm's and I've been seriously considering starting in on 1911's of both 45 and 9mm variety. I've also recently enjoyed shooting my dad's 357 revolver and my father-in-law's Judge. So to answer your question, I don't have any problem with multiple calibers in multiple platforms. Of course I'm not using them as work guns and I don't shoot competitively either which would probably make me more of a one caliber, one platform guy.

I can tell you that the 40/357 SIG can be easy to get mixed up. I haven't put anything wrong in the wrong gun but you just have to pay attention if you take both to the range on the same day.

How does that emp shoot? Been eyeballing them.

AMAZING!!! We bought the EMP and my late great 1911 the same time. We shot both at the range the next night. My 45 1911 grouped about a 3" group, but I was low left with it.
I picked up her EMP, put a normal size post-it note on the target, moved it to the required line and put 5 shots touching each other on the post-it note.
When she focused, she had them all touching too. It was only her second time shooting at all, and first with it.
It is a good shooting gun.
