For all of you that support training and licensing before you're allowed to practice your 2A rights I ask:

Should we also require a journalism degree before allowing you to express your opinion?
Should we require an ordination paper from a certified church before you can witness or peach? Or at minimum a degree from a reputable college?
Should you have to be granted a permit to be free from unreasonable search and seizure?

I could go on, but . . . .

I would support open carry under 1 condition, those who want to open carry undergo the same training as those that can open carry now(LEO/CLEET).

The training required to carry concealed is far inadequate, put it out in the open on your hip and it brings a whole slew of other issues.

A gun on your hip isn't a magical talisman......

If open carry required the same certs as LEO, wouldn't/shouldn't LEO's be constantly checking non-LEO open carriers to ensure they are trained, since they don't have a badge and/or uniform.

Stand up for your freedom, All the freedom. Open carry is a right that our fathers failed to preserve for us.

Are we citizens or wards of the state? Why can citizens not be trusted to open carry?

Your little Thomas Jefferson signature is right on 1shot(bob).

Heartland just posted about this on their Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=100001122816366

To quote for those not interested in Facebook.

Good Morning, Just wanted to start off by saying the statements made by Cleo L. on the Sunday news, were his personal opinions and do not reflect the views of Heartland Outdoors. The store is in favor of "Open Carry".

Won't they be checking anyway?

How can an LEO identify someone with a CL, or someone that just wants to be a Cowboy?

Can you show me where this was put forth? I see the right to keep and bear arms, I don't see anything that indicates open carry....

I'm moving to San Deigo. They currently have unloaded open carry.

You can still carry loaded magazines in an open belt holster too and practice up on your quickload drills and be better off than 99.999% of the drooling masses.
