whether we are designating them as "battle rifles" or not, or it being an accurate term to be applied, I still stick with my selection and explained why..

And I still side with you and the FAL.

And thinking about my above post - I was wrong. Stg58 = Austrian; G1 = German. Should have known the Germans wouldn't get it wrong....;)

Nomenclature doesnt mean squat when people are shooting at you with it, or when you need to depend on it for your life..

Could be a hi-point for all I care, projectiles hurt when they hit.. lol

So you're basically saying, if I asked people "What's the best armored personnel carrier in the world?" you would answer "a Toyota Camry, because nomenclature doesnt mean squat when you need to get from point A to point B."

Please share some of your vast wisdom with me and explain this statement,

No, I don't think I will. It's fairly common and historical knowledge...and has been touched on in this thread already.

If you disagree, why don't you explain why?

HAHAHA!!! Good reply!

Results may vary with exhaggerated examples.. Mine, and yours..

If everybody else is walking, and all you have is a toyota camry working, then, yeah, it would be "the best armored personnel carrier" in your world at the time..lol

My point being moreso is.. No point in getting all riled up over who thinks what is "the best", if you aint got it, it dont matter. You utilize what you have and make it work for you, at the time.

was all I was getting at..

So basically you're saying... this is a stupid question/thread and it doesn't deserve a serious answer.

LOL, FTW!

I guess in the OP's defense...he said what's your favorite, not which one is best.

It just got complicated by mixed up terminology....
