Triptan drugs really are sort of a miracle drug for migraines. Well, some of them. Almotriptan (Axert) works great, sumatriptan (Imitrex) doesn't do much unless I take it right when I get the aura. I've never tried Relpax, but I have some samples of rizatriptan.

I guess I am a rare lucky one. I get migraines, but without the pain. For years, randomly I would lose peripheral vision and get a little light headed. Went to the doctor, he said it was a migraine, just without the severe pain everyone else gets. I color myself very very fortunate.

I suffer from fairly atypical migraines symptom-wise. But they're an almost daily occurance. Currently, the only thing that let's me get through the day is Tramadol (anything stronger and I start having issues with side effects).

The doctor currently has me on Lisiniprol and Topomax to try and prevent them, but I haven't been on them very long. Things are starting to improve, but slowly.

I get 'em. I've tried loading up on ibuprofen and such but the pain already has me throwing up so I normally can't keep a pill like that down with my upset stomach.

I do some trade work for a chiropractor so sometimes can get into him when I get one. The neck cracking and stretching sometimes will relieve the pain but when it doesn't I'm screwed. I haven't been to a medical doc since I don't have insurance and I'm a cheap a$$ tight wad.

What's this Relpax you guys speak of? Is it really a miracle worker? Is it prescription or otc?
