I may be super biased, but I agree. Their sound influenced music tremendously. I won't day modern music is 'good', especially mainstream, but tell me music got worse after the late 80's pop scene crapped out lol
Steve Martin truly is more of a musician than most people realize.
I'm pretty sure that's what they do in one of the circles of Hell.
+1 on Don Edwards. I'd also add RW Hampton, Dan Roberts, Red Steagall, and a bunch of other cowboy artists. Chris LeDoux is a giant in that genre, but pretty much underappreciated outside of it.
I'm not sure if they'd be considered "underappreciated" or not, but Restless Heart and the Kentucky Headhunters both have a significant amount of music from the late '80s/early '90s that has aged much better than their contemporaries.
Cold, they do not get near enough airplay on the radio. And no I dont mean coldplay.
Speaking of Coldplay, they were on SNL before the '08 election and decided to use it as a time to campaign for DingleBarry. That was the day they lost me forever.
