You can bury them in a mound of mud and they'll still work. You can leave them in the road and let them be run over by trucks and they'll still work. PLEASE dont grease them........ they c:lookarounuld suffer catastrophic failure.

Hmm, I've never had problems with lubrication on any of my glocks. I've run them anywhere from dry and dirty, to clean with oil all over, nothing messed up.

Worried about the striker channel? Just clean it out every 1000 rounds...Or dont, it will still work.

  Where do you guys come up with this stuff??

Glock lubes all pistols that leave the factory. That's good enough for me. But like all things in life there is such a thing as moderation ... lube the slide rail grooves with a drop, lube the spot between the connector and the trigger bar with a drop and put a drop or two on a rag and rub the barrel down. While you're at it take a swipe over the barrel lug and the inside of the barrel hood. Not too much mind you -- one or two drops should be able to lube everything up nicely ...

I can't speak to letting them run dry because we clean every gun around here after every trip to the range. A clean gun is a happy gun! :thumbup3:

I made the mistake of putting Hornady One Shot on my extractor spring shaft in my G30; guess I put too much or didn't let it dry enough before assembly. Next time at the range I had a couple of ejection problems.
Cleaned it up and never put lube there again, no problems.

The striker channel is supposed to be dry. After cleaning, I always run a clean dry Q-tip through the channel to make sure it is clean and dry.

Grease stays put. Ideal for frame rails and barrel hoods, especially CC weapons where you don't want oil migrating and attracting pocket dirt. The key is to use a LITTLE, then reassemble, cycle the slide and wipe off all excess. It's not a cake, so don't frost it with grease.

IIRC, the Glock striker should rattle a little when you shake the slide. No rattle= Pull it apart and spray the channel out with brake cleaner. Allow to dry, reassemble (Dry) and lube per instructions.

My wax lubed LSWC reloads cause the most gunk in my Glock .45ACP pistols. Fortunately Glocks take only about 15-20 min to detail strip, clean and reassemble.
