Actually you're never supposed to pull the trigger on your release. You should pull the release into your finger using back tension. And not the tip of your finger. The release's trigger should contact your finger on the second pad not the first. Most guys have their release out to far/long. Which keeps you from being able to do this.
The release should always be a "surprise" in which you're just pulling with your back (not your arm) with your finger against the trigger. Once you pull hard enough it'll cause the trigger to push against your finger and Bam, the bow shoots.
