The last couple experiences at taco bueno have not been that great. At the new one in owasso I ordered four crispy tacos and two combo burritos and the girl working the drive thru started laughing hysterically nonstop. And then all the girls in the kitchen started laughing too. I had a feeling they were laughing at my voice. I guess I shoulda went in and talked to the manager. And then the one in claremore i'm afraid the lesbian working there will spit in my food.

Ok guys this is gonna sound straight propaganda but here's the stats. At least for northeast Oklahoma and im going from memory here so ill just approximate the numbers
For carbonated soft drink shares alone
Pepsi 80%
Coke 15%
Others 5%

But yes bueno did get Pepsi and the conversion should be complete by April so you coke @ bueno lovers out there get used to it or find a new place. Bueno is loving it as their drink sales have increased in the stores converted already.

Side note if you love bells dew Baja blast it should be in stores this summer.

The statistics guys might not be calculating overall lost sales. At least my family won't buy Bueno anymore if Pepsi is their only choice. My daughter is a regular Buenohead and she has gone cold turkey over the soda change. Might as well go to Taco Bell. Think we'll likely just skip both places, but they are confident things are great.

Why did we change our beverage line-up?
Hello (fellow) Buenoheads,

We’ve received numerous questions about the recent changes to our beverage line-up. Many Bueno fans have reached out to praise the changes, while others expressed their sheer displeasure over the switch. We wanted
to take a moment and try to not only explain the changes, but also to clear up some misconceptions out there.

We’d like to first apologize, that you not only may have been upset about our beverage conversion, but also the
fact that you were probably caught by surprise. We certainly did not do our job in preparing our loyal fans for the
change, as well as helping them understand why the changes were made. For that we are sorry, and vow to do a better
job with communication in the future.

Whether you agree or disagree with the decision, there was a great deal of research, discussion, debate and a strategy
that went into the beverage switch. We’ve been working on this for almost a year. This is not something we took lightly, as
our utmost concern was for our guests. The fact is, consumption of carbonated beverages is on the decline everywhere.
This is not just a “Taco Bueno” trend. Rather than just sit back and accept that, we decided to be proactive and develop a
line that offers our guests what we feel is a great beverage line up, with tons of variety. And when we reference variety,
we are referring to both carbonated soft drinks as well as non-carbonated beverages.

We are the first to admit that there is a “Coke Belt” if you will and in fact, many of us ourselves are die-hard Coke drinkers.
Head to head, Coca Cola is likely to beat Pepsi in any showdown in the “Coke Belt”. However, for Taco Bueno, Coke represented a smaller percentage of all drink sales.
It would not have been wise for us to make a decision based purely on “Coke v Pepsi”. Instead, we looked at the entire Coca-Cola
portfolio versus that of Pepsi. And after exhaustive research, we are convinced that the portfolio of strong diverse
options we are able to offer via Pepsi’s line, far outweighs what is available to us via Coca-Cola. In fact, north of the
Red River, Mountain Dew is more popular than Coke. As an added bonus, we are also now able to offer Diet Dr Pepper in all
our locations, which has been by far the number one requested beverage for us. We were not able to offer Diet Dr Pepper
prior to this change.

We’ve seen rumors of Pepsi buying us new machines, which is not true as the machines you will see at your Bueno are still
the same machines we had before the switch. So that’s not it. We’ve seen guests ask if it had something to do with a Super Bowl
ad….absolutely not. We made a decision long before we ever saw or caught wind of any Super Bowl ads.

So, if you’re a Coca-Cola product fan, you are probably saying, “yea, but what about ME?”. Well naturally we’d love to
have been able to offer a blend of beverages from both companies, but that was not feasible. Just as we were not able to
carry products such as Mountain Dew while with Coca-Cola for so many years, we also are not able to offer Diet Coke while
engaged with PepsiCo. It’s one brand or the other.

We pride ourselves for having the best Tex-Mex food, anywhere. That’s really what we’re about. But we also have tried to
provide the best line up of beverages that not only complement our great food, but also offer the variety we need to meet
the diverse cravings of our guests.

We will never ask you to prefer Pepsi over Coke, nor will we imply that you do. That’s a matter of preference that you are entitled to. We are asking you to continue to be a great fan of our food, and to please give our new line-up a try. We are hopeful
that despite the fact that YOUR personal favorite may no longer be there you will find a nice alternative that you enjoy.
In the end, if you don’t, bring your own favorite beverage in. We have no problem with that.

So how is it going so far? Well, so far results are very favorable. Taco Bueno has experienced several milestones in the
past few weeks that we’ve not seen in a very long time. We know that not all will embrace the change, and in fact we are
likely to lose some guests in the process. It’s not something we want to see happen, but we have to respect the fact that
not all will remain loyal. But we also know that we’ve given just as many guests what they’ve been asking for. We are
evaluating how each of the new flavors are performing and will make adjustments that we are sure will be necessary to provide
you with the best PepsiCo options.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. It’s our hope that this letter will leave you with a better understanding of
why the changes happened, and also understand that we love our guests just as we love our brand.
