Any of you guys have a link to a decent youtube video showing how to swap out lowers or uppers on an AR15? :blahblah:

I've got a couple I want to trade out but don't feel comfortable just jumping into it yet. :nolike:
Basically want the upper off one and the lower off another put together.

I may not be following you but you should just have to push out the two captive take down pins, separate halves and reattach to the other half you want to swap out.

If you are serious, UMB has given you the correct answer.

yup... just pop out the take down pins and do the swap. if your wanting to swap out just the lower ( but keep the butt stock ) then you will need to raise the pin holding the butt stock to the tube so that it slides off.

Yup this answered it. Thanks.

Pretty simple. Here is a youtube. I remember my first time building an AR. So I don't see the reason to be a dick about it.

Thanks OKB, that was what I was looking for.

If you are real uncomfortable doing it, drop by the shop, I will be more than happy to show you. No Charge.
Thanks for the offer Mark.

Okay it's simple. I just felt I should ask before yanking it apart.

I told you guys a couple months back I'd never owned one. :smash:

Thanks! :thumb:

No offense taking from any remarks. I was pretty sure it was a dumb question.

Well, now you see how people were unsure what you were asking, now that you've seen it done, there's nothing to it, if you're swapping complete uppers and lowers.

I thought you might want to take the upper receiver and swap it into another rifle, for instance you had a slick-side (aka no forward assist) or something and wanted to swap that but change out barrels and handguards and such.

I remember first starting out, and I knew jack schitt, now I look back and realize how easy most of the stuff on an AR is to deal with... I'm always available to lend a hand. Heck, it's easier than putting together computers, which I think anyone with half a brain can do.
