Now that is a place that I have never been personally. Black Kettle. With all the different sections and pieces of property I'd have to make a few trips before the opener. I have always heard that place is covered up with rifles and orange though. People always shoot deer there.

I hunted down there once with 2 buddies. It was archery. One evening on the way from my uncles cabin to our stands, we see a dude stalking us, hiding behind trees and darting between cover. He was wearing a blue long sleeve shirt so he wasnt to hard to spot and not to smart either. We lost sight of him at some point but were nervous the rest of our hunt.
He was intrigued by the bows. Lever actions are common in archery season down there.
And during Black powder....
I opined that he was making sure we didnt get too close to his pot patch.
