Took my Oklahoma CCL class today....

Finger prints, etc Monday then the waiting game begins.....Instructor said waiting times are ranging anywhere from 4-8 weeks.

I was disappointed when I went through it. All the instructor did was read from the book. I was expecting more than that.

Thank you everyone.....Took fingerprints/etc today at Sheriff's office.

Everything is on it's way to OSBI now. Now it's time to hurry up and wait.

Sounds like he actually followed the CLEET lesson plan. It is pretty dry, but you are supposed to hear the actual law, not somebody's war stories. I am shocked at how many "instructors" don't follow the lesson plan, as OK law requires. Maybe that's why so many have little idea what the OK law actually says.

You are correct. It's very dry and boring to teach the course. I typically have a sore throat from the talking/reading when I deliver the course but feel it's important to deliver it the way its designed to be delivered.

The wife and I got ours over the summer, took about 5 weeks for me. Her fingerprints had to be retaken, about 10-11 weeks for her. I felt I got better training when I got my Utah license a few years back and that was a quick course too.

I sent my app in on December 18th and I'm still waiting. It was Cleveland County if that makes a difference.
