My wife bought this thing and wants me to hang it on the wall. It's pretty heavy and the back is built like a normal gate with two horizontal 2x4s and a diagonal one that connects them.

I'm not sure how strong the wood is or whether or not I should trust it.

How would OSA suggest I hang this?

Since you have a horizontal 2X4, and if its over 16" wide, you should be able to find some vertical studs, and put some screws into the studs. Either put wire on the back or get picture frame hangers to install 16" apart.

Thats a good idea as long as they make wire strong enough to hold something that heavy which I bet they do. I've just never looked before.

View the post post-modernist shutters on the right juxtaposed against the windmill blades on the left. She's asking you to commit an aesthetic train-wreck. She's testing you. It's a trap. Don't fall for it. Refuse to do it. Women love when you express your decorating opinion like that.

I don't tell her how to decorate the house/woman stuff and she doesn't tell me what to do with the guy stuff. Works out pretty good!
