There were a lot of nazis with courage in the face of enemy fire, communists, too. Does that mean we should celebrate them as honorable men? He was a democrat, a liberal. He conspired to thwart our second amendment rights.
He also worked very hard to get Obama elected.

Obama's policies ruined my healthcare insurance and now takes money that I don't have, directly out of my pockets and gives it to someone else. That directly affects myself and my families bottom line. I take that offense seriously and I do not forget.

Glenn might have done some great things, but he was still a Democrat at heart and would stab you in the back with his policies just as quickly as any San Francisco liberal.

I'm surprised he could walk with the balls he owned. He came back to the airfield with his fighter planes shot up constantly because he wanted to get close to what he was shooting at. Baseball legend Ted Williams was his wing man in combat flights during the Korean War.
Flew fighters in the South Pacific during WWII and in the Korean war. First man to orbit the earth for the US with no knowledge if he would come back alive or not.
Test pilot that flew the record trans continental across the US, and went back into space at 77 years old.
Yeah, I didn't like some of his politics, but he was a mans man when it came to bravery, and having a set of balls.
Good speed John Glenn.

Benedict Arnold was by all accounts a very brave man with a huge set of balls.

Wonder why we don't celebrate him .
