I'm going out to Tuttle and sit in the back yard of my house thats up for sale and take my new Phantom 3 drone and video the fireworks from 400 feet in the air. The neighbors behind that house always spend tons on the good stuff.
My boss is doing the same thing!
He has a cabin near Minocqua.
I have no idea what I'm going to do. I do get a four-day weekend though.
Probably go to my cousins and cookout and swim. Have to go to work the next day so will probably not shoot any fireworks. Might do it Saturday though. Hope everyone has a good and safe 4th.
We typically do nothing on any of the holidays. Can't stand the crowds. Occasionally go to a friends house for some BBQ.
I'll be working and most likely have curry. Not widely celebrated in India. Not sure why though, they celebrate everything else.
I'll probably go to Red Castle early one morning to beat the heat and the crowds; other than that, not much. Watch the fireworks the next door neighbor sets off - it's usually pretty entertaining.
We live WAAAAAAY out in the country. We'll scan the horizon with binoculars for some fireworks.

Just going to chill around the place. Going to smoke a couple of briskets on Saturday or Sunday and am thinking about making some burnt ends out of the points. We've been told that we have the best seats around for several area firework displays from our deck on top of the hill... Salina being the closest, we'll see. Wishing everyone a Happy Independence Day!
I've often wondered why most people dont call it Independence day? We dont call Christmas 25th of December.
