As for the rest of it, well change is never easy and there are always some who resist. She was objectively a black woman. That was, and for some people still is, the issue. Seems like an apt analogy to me.

The Greek word that is translated "lust" (epithymeō) carries with it the notion of intent. I will paste Strong's definition below, notice "to set the heart upon". To say you "lust in your heart" but "don't do the act" may be contradictory, depending on why you didn't do the act. If you determined NOT to do it, you have not met the criteria for lust. If you don't do it simply because you had no opportunity, you have met the criteria. Jesus is not saying that it is a sin to be attracted to someone, he is saying that obedience begins in the heart before any action takes place. If you have "set your heart upon" committing adultery, what he is saying is your heart is wrong and you have sinned before committing any action, so yes you CAN sin in your mind. Hope that helps.

i never said it was an apples to apples. I was talking about people being resistant to change and viewing things (shows, commercials, etc) as threats to our society. He thinks this will emasculate our society by normalizing it. As i (perhaps poorly) tried to indicate, that argument has been used time and again against a number of things that we consider fine today. This wont be our downfall.

And i don't think i indicated he was homophobic or transphobic. i was simply pointing out that there were likely gay and others in front of the DI before all of this. These aren't 'new' issues. They are just more public.

I think the more important point he was trying to make is that the way people are going about trying to normalize transgenderism is causing problems that extend far beyond people being resistant to societal change. Just one small example is we’re losing several words from the English language that are necessary words. There are even people saying that the word “vagina” shouldn’t be used because it’s associated with femaleness and trans people with vaginas may not identify as female. We’re watching newspeak become reality, and that shouldn’t be taken lightly.

And i'm not too worried about the english language. We swerve, we overcorrect, we do it all again. Someone will always demand others use or avoid certain words. Others will always go out of their way to use the wrong word, just to be a dick. Life will go on.
