I remember a member saying how his clinic went from seeing 75+ patients a day to 10-15 each day. Same for hospitals. Without running patients through, they aren't making money, and they're not in the business of health... they're in the money business.

My RN sister worked in surgery, as soon as non-emergency surgeries were suspended, she was on unemployment. It's a common tale all over the country.

Integris hospital has also laid off workers. The need to shift resources to COVID-19 treatment bays, hospitals have had to close other departments. That means postponing or canceling non-critical, elective surgeries like knee replacements and procedures like colonoscopies, which generate the bulk of revenues for hospitals. So, in many cases, hospitals are actually losing money.

My sister works in the xray department at our local hospital and she has been laid off for a month now with no idea when she will be able to return to work.

I go to a Mercy Office for treatment and they weren't seeing patients physically due t the virus, they were doing the video telemed or even phone calls. But maybe now they are seeing patients in-office? I've an appointment coming up and so far they haven't; told me not to come in to be seen.

Have you boys been under a rock? Census has been down quite a bit outside of Covid patients, and those are declining.
