Survey any group of engineers and managers from around the county. Ask if they'd prefer living and working in Austin or Tulsa. I'm pretty sure that was the big factor in the decision. Sorry but "Austin City Limits "and Univ of Texas at Austin are going to beat "Okie from Muskogee" and Univ of Tulsa.

I dunno that they care so much as where their employees live, rather than if they moved to Texas, Texas would then turn into a large "homer" market for their cars and trucks. Many millions more than Tulsa/Oklahoma for starters. I'd wager Texas will be changing their laws so they can sell direct to the buyer.

California used to be a red state before it allowed certain cities to become "weird".

I think Texas is going to repeat this pattern, assuming this country lasts another 10-15 years.

I'm not too fond of the next "California" being right next door. We're going to become the equivalent of NV or OR...
