I know this sounds dumb, but make sure the mag follower and spring are installed properly.

Yeah. I made a youtube video of it too. Every case I put in gets scratched to hell, which was one reason I figured that I'd send it in for eval. Once I get the gun back I'm going to do a more complete and polished one detailing everything as well as the response. Let the chips fall where they may I suppose.
Check the mag feed lips, or try a different mag.
Not a gunsmith, but nearly all semi-auto problems I've seen have been mag-related.

Not a bad idea --- but already been checked too.One more thing...

Here's some pictures to better explain the scratching I'm talking about. You can see where the mag lines are on the brass but the scratch patches don't occur until the bullet gets stuck trying to go into the chamber.

How far around the case do the scratches go? Can we see all of the scratched area? Here's some pictures to better explain the scratching I'm talking about. You can see where the mag lines are on the brass but the scratch patches don't occur until the bullet gets stuck trying to go into the chamber.
Been a few weeks since I had it, but yeah, the problem occurs when going by hand too. Now, if I recall correctly, when I took the barrel out entirely and did a "plunk test" of just plunking the round straight in it worked fine. But in normal operation it'll stick with the scratching as shown. It's pretty much the patches shown rather than wrapping the case but I don't recall if those were on the top or bottom of the case. How far around the case do the scratches go? From what I can see, it's probably either the feed ramp or the chamber edge, or both.
I suppose you've tried to chamber rounds by hand (both slowly and slide released). What happens?
FWIW (again, in my experience), when a semi-auto is working properly, you can release the slide and a round will chamber smooth as butter.
I'd love to have about 30 minutes with it...
Lol, no promises on how I'll feel at any given time, but let us know when you get it back.Been a few weeks since I had it, but yeah, the problem occurs when going by hand too. And don't tempt me with a good time or I might bring it down that way!
