Picked up a Glock 48. It will be my primary EDC conceal-carry with Shield Arms S15 magazines. Installed AmeriGlo tritium night sights, Ghost 3.5# connector bar, Shield Arms metal magazine release, Vickers extended slide lock/release and Talon Pro grips... Conceal Express carbon fiber IWB holster.

Pictures, man! We need pictures! (Congrats)

Noticing that I post about shooting my 1911's quite a a bit and that I am a veteran I had a fella from here on OSA contact me a couple months back wanting to know if I'd like to have a box of military surplus 45 ACP ball ammo that he had no use for that he could drop off the next time he was coming through Norman and I of course said yes.......I offered to pay or trade him something for the ammo numerous times and again this morning but he declined.

We finally were able to meet this morning just off of I-35 and he gave me a full box of 50 surplus Winchester ammo head stamped WCC 1972........I'll never fire the ammo because as I told him not only is it the only box of surplus 45 ACP ammo I have but the mfg date of 1972 also means something to me as it was one of the almost six years that I was in VN.

He's welcome to make himself known if he wishes but I won't mention his name, again.........Thank You Sir !

No pics yet, gonna wait until I get the scope for it, but I bought me a Savage 10T-SR from Bass Pro. Thought I’d have to break the bank to get the 6.5 CM long range, threaded heavy 24” barrel I was wanting, but nope, $650 all in. Ordered it Wednesday night, came in yesterday.

Sold my Savage 300 wm, and my Browning 6.5 CM, so I had enough for the new one, plus a good scope, which I’ve yet to settle on. Probably going with the Vortex Crossfire II 6-18 x 44, bdc.

Traded for a Garcia Model D 380. A mini 1911 in looks and with an interesting history.

Firearms Int'l (FI) was an importer that got absorbed by another importer, Garcia Sporting Arms, in 1971. FI was importing Rossi and Star firearms at the time, and before the Gun Control Act of 1968 the Star "Starfire" which was known in Europe as the Star DK. The gun did not meet importation requirement under GCA 68 and was banned.

Garcia tooled up Firearms International to make frames with a couple of small changes (longer grip spur, for one) and struck a deal with Colt, who wanted a small .380 pistol in its line, to produce the Colt "Pony" using FI-made frames and possibly also slides with other parts imported from Star in Spain. These frames had serial numbers starting with 'CPA.' Colt was having one of its internal upheavals and they never got any guns out to speak of - Colt 'Pony' pistols from this run are fairly rare. Garcia/FI had all these frames and the FI Model D was born.

Firearms International went away in the late 1970's and the gun resurfaces as the Iver Johnson 'Pony' still using frames serialized 'CPA.' This is all intertwined with Lou Imperato and his various gun enterprises in the late 1960's through 1980's.

Can use the same mags as the Beretta 70s and I have heard but can not confirm the Kimber 380. Now I have a nice pocket pistol for when it is to hot for my 1911.

Very nice. I parted ways with my IJ Pony in fall of 2019. Sold it to a dealer at gun show. As usual, now I wish I would have kept it. Here are some pics I took of it back then
