After a year long wait, I finally have my suppressor in my hands. It's the Yankee Hill Machine Nitro .30. I took it out today to test the point of impact shift and speeds with vs without. No real change in speeds, but a pretty good poi change.
Good vid @thaHooligan. I have a TC compass in 223. I put the Cabelas 223 scope on it that has reticle hashes out to 750 yds. I have it zeroed with no can on it(AAC cyclone 30cal) With the can on, it’s dead on at the 250 hash. After that I don’t need to change hash marks until somewhere in the 400 yard range

I only have one can which is the Silencerco Harvester in .30 cal.
I use it between several rifles. Most do lose an inch or so in elevation when using the can and I attribute it to barrel droop with the added weight which may or may not be the actual issue. Just my speculation.
Yes, you do. Suppress all the things. Just wait until I get all mine so I don’t have to wait even longer on permission.
@thaHooligan thats a crazy amount of POA to POI impact. I’m guessing you were shooting at 100 yards or so? I’ve seen and heard of up to 3-4” of deviations from unsuppressed to suppressed, but 6” is a huge shift. Do you know if your muzzle cut may not be quite concentric enough or maybe if there’s something going on with the can/mount/threads?

Thanks dennis, Its been a year now, but I'm pretty sure when I was looking at the silencers in the gun store, I had my choices narrowed down between the Nitro 30 and the Harvester. If I remember correctly the Harvester was lighter, which I really liked, but I think it was also an inch or two longer, which is why I ended up going with the Nitro 30.Great video. I like yours. Yea 100 yards. Nothing visibly noticeable on the muzzle or the threads. I'm very new to suppressors, so I don't know if that 6" difference is due to something being out of whack or if it's just normal, but now you got me wondering! lol
@thaHooligan, I’ve not tried my 30cal can on the x39 AR. I wasn’t sure if there was enough clearance to prevent baffle strikes. I need to do some research on that. Does anyone have experience with the AAC and x39? I know we’re only talking about few thousandths but some of these things have some pretty tight tolerances.
I have ran my AAC SDN 6 on my Rock River 7.62x39 ar with no issue
