A few days ago, I picked this brand-new USAF-surplus holster for a K-frame S&W.
Is that holster/ammo pouch available on a website?

If so can you please post a link?

It's the exact same holster/pouch I carried when I was in the USAF (Mid-70's),,,
I would love to own one for my S&W Model 15.

Picked up another 1911 from my local FFL today.
I have one of these without the rail/GI type.
I really like them, have had no problems with the GI model.
I don't see any reason this one would not be just as good.
I do have some different grips (Pachmayr combat grips)on the way for it along with a Wilson combat full length flat wire recoil rod and 17lb flat wire recoil spring and a couple Wilson 47D magazines.

What brand 1911? I can’t make it out!

It came to me via a guy on the Smith&Wesson forum. He had a few of them for sale that he got from eBay, and I picked one up. Your best bet is to watch for them on eBay.

Just curious, but what was your job in the air force? Were you an AP by any chance?

Nope, I was a document courier and driver for a command center Brigadeer General,,,
it was supposed to be a 5-6 week TDY assignment,,,
But it turned into a 1-year gig.

My actual AFSC was 99105 (Special Electronics Technician),,,
I believe it's called 9S100 (Scientific Applications Specialist) now.

Interesting. You might like to know that in my novel, The Pale Horse, the branch of the military that survives the virus is the US Air Force, specifically, the security forces. There are a few people from the Army as well.

BTW, thank you for your service.
