The ugly duckling landed today; 4" 15-4, feels good but definitely needs some finish work done. Very faint turn line, so I bet its been shot little and kept poorly.

Looks like a truck gun for a glove box.

Had to restock some ammo. Couple hundred rounds of M193 and I’m going to try some monarch buckshot. About 50 rounds of that.

Mail just arrived and the Pachmayr Presentation grip for the 7.5" .44 Ruger Redhawk that I bought last week came in.

Guess who's going to be on the range at the crack of dawn tomorrow morning making noise and flinging lead downrange ?

I have that same model Redhawk, and am having difficulty finding a good grip for it...

Not a fan of the ruger redhawk, but I thought they came with nice grips from the factory!

Factory grips are too small for me.

I found some old "Trooper" grips, but those are a bit large. I may have to sand them down, but then there is no resale value.

I know the Presentation grips are on the large side, just looking for a 'hands on' (see what I did there?) review.

Cant help you there, anything that I mighta got with Pachmayr, the Pachmayrs got removed (quickly) and put in the for sale bin.

Sounds like you might need something custom!

Or sell that ruger and get the smith with some nice original wood target stocks.

I know I know, everyone says the ruger is stronger, but the trigger on the smith outclasses the ruger
