you guys realize that whole corn sold without a feed inspection tag is high mycotoxin and basically very little value? i think that corn sold a s deer corn in the bag is blended to have a lower level of mycotoxin but still to high for feed use?

Are there loads of hot corn being turned away this year? I've heard of none.

I don't Know. i don't think the regs have changed though. and just cause a farmer might sell his corn direct doesn't mean it is bad or good.
Agreed, but a coop isn't going to buy it and sell it in bulk if has been tested hot. I'm in the middle of dry land corn and yields are pretty bad do to drought, nobody has heard of any hot loads as of yet. Testing it is a little suspect anyway depending on what kernels actually get pulled to be tested.

yes exactly. my suspicion is that these corn dispensers may be an outlet to reject corn. the corn may not be local?

Just bought 800 pounds of corn today. I checked the prices before I did it. Perry co-op was $9.85 per 50 and the Stillwater mill was $10.85 per 50. I wanted 800 pounds so I just went to Stillwater. The extra hassle of dealing with loose bulk corn and not being able to get the exact amount I wanted isn’t worth the $16 I would have saved on the bulk.

If bulk corn does not come down in price. I will just continue to buy the sack stuff as it is much easier to deal with and not that much more expensive currently
