What do you want from the trigger update? Lighter? Smoother? Flat or smooth trigger face?

mMostly lighter, but smoother is always good. The trigger face does not matter. I was thinking about one of the 3.5 lb. Trigger CONNECTOR kits with the springs.

Try the (-) Connector and the 6 lb competition trigger spring. Or if you want lighter still, take a look at the Ghost edge and the 6 lb spring. The heavier trigger spring actually causes the trigger pull weight to be lighter. I have a (-) in one and the Ghost edge in another. I like both and honestly can’t tell the difference.

Do you think I need the kit with competition springs or just the connector and trigger spring?

Just the Connector and comp trigger spring, in my opinion. I hope you will shoot it first, before you go ordering any components. You may be okay with the trigger as is. My latest G19.4 wears a (-) connector and comp (6 lb) spring but my G29.4 is stock; I was satisfied with the trigger right from the box.

I will take it to the range first.

Should I get a 3 or 8 MOA fastfire?

Yes, by all means shoot it first.

I have a G17L that has the - connector (I think) and it's trigger is actually decent. After I get a couple thousand rounds through it, it'll probably be pretty good straight from Glock. I haven't touched this gun except for changing the sights, those had to go.
