Lots of good points there...it's definitely not saving any money. All it provides is an experience...and life stories. Lol. It's definitely an expensive way to sleep and get around. But we seem to enjoy it the few times a year that it happens.

I wanted to use something else besides the vehicle. It works but it's a bit cumbersome to drive it back there and it is easier with the riding mower (if it works and keeps traction)

That is what I usually do. I'm also noticing large tire ruts now. Not sure if that happens just because of camper or it's the vehicle.
