I have seen a guy at the last couple of Tulsa gun shows that I have been to that has stocked a bunch of LMT uppers and other LMT stuff at his tables. Does anyone have his contact information? Baring that, does anyone know a stocking LMT dealer in Tulsa?
Thanks,
Rob
Bullets that travel through silencers do generally increase in velocity a bit. This is called free bore boost. It happens because the bullet no longer has the friction of the barrel to slow it down but still has the gas pressure behind it. However, the increase in velocity is usually around...
Your KX3 will generate more back pressure and therefore heat than an A2 flash suppressor or other brakes. Whether or not it will cause the gun damage is up to your rate of fire and the design of the gun. I have gotten my SBRs and silencers hot enough to set grass and wooden shooting benches on...
It has been a few years since I have bought any AR lowers so I am out of the loop. What is the current local 'go to' place for AR receivers right now? I need a couple or three. If our sponsors do not carry them, where else should I go? I'd prefer to buy local.
Thanks,
Rob
I'm using my refund to finish paying off all of my debt. I'll have no credit card, student loans, mortgage, or car payments. Just in time to either go back to school or take a job that pays half or less what I make now. Means to an end though, right? :screwy:

I'm packing up for my move and I've decided that I don't want to pack or move all of my Pilatus PC12 reference stuff. I'm talking about all of the reference materials that Simcom loads you down with every year when you go to annual recurrent sim training. I have years worth of stuff for PC-12/45...
Alright, I'm putting the rail on hold. I'm just going to simply swap receivers at this point. Is there anyone in Stillwater that can help, for a fee, me swap receivers around? I really need to borrow someone's tools/vice/workbench but I can do the work or pay someone to do it. It would be beyond...
My AR weighs less than 6 pounds including a Surefire Scout Light and Aimpoint T1. I'm sure that I could shave another pound if I went really tried, but it would simply be, to quote George Mallory 'because it's there.'

Next time you're in Houston, go spend some time at Collector's. They have a few cases full of custom engraved guns. From Glocks to Sig 210s, they have a bunch. To offset the garish custom guns they do have a fantastic selection of milsurps, black guns, used guns, handguns, civil war era...
Have you ever gotten it hot enough that you worry about the upper, particularly the receiver threads? I have been thinking about making a really light weight gun but I make my AR glow as a matter of routine.
Rob
After we mangled the teeth on that barrel nut I took a pipe wrench to it. It came right off. The guy that rebarreled that upper did not put any moly grease on the receiver threads.
Anyway, I can cut my own FSB down. I just don't have the tools to pull the barrel off anymore. I really should...
I need to have a my Larue 9.0 rail installed on my AR. In doing so I also need my FSB shaved down and re-profiled. Who here can do that or who do you recommend?
Thanks,
Rob
I didn't want to bring religion into this thread, but since you said it, I would feel remiss and sinful for not proselytizing His Word. If you need something better than an A2, you should get His muzzle brake/suppressor mount, the KAC TTT. It is machined from an alloy comprised of the soul of...
I am a corporate pilot so I fly for a living. You could say that I hang out at airports daily. Right now I am waiting for passengers to show up for a trip to Lafayette for a football game.
