Got this a month or so ago, fired it for a function check three times, and just Haden't got around to shooting it anymore.
Mounted a scope I had in the cabinet because I can't see the sights or the target at the same time.
Loaded up some rounds using Nosler 230 grain with IMR 4227, and others with Hornady 230 grain with H110.

Best accuracy with the 4227 at 50 yds, but lowest speed.

I guess my pic of the 4227 load failed which was 1 3/4".

Here is the H110 load.

Part of the H110 issue may be the barrel was getting hot, and like the mini 14's with a barrel band the accuracy goes away after repeated shots.
Didn't have time to let the barrel properly cool.

That's a sweet one Dennis! When I spotted this on the sidebar, I was hoping it might be in the Classifieds ;) I really want a 44 long gun of some sort to go with my revolvers; I have a blued Ruger SBH 7.5" & a stainless Dan Wesson 6"

I have a Ruger Super Redhawk in .44 mag. I wanted a long rifle to go with it. I shoot 200 grain in the pistol.

I'm going to load up some of those to see how they shoot. They create a huge fireball coming out of the pistol. It will be interesting to see how the load works in a long barrel.

I have been loading some 240 gr cast SWC and some 267 gr cast Keith style in my revolvers; oddly enough, the DW seems to like the heavier bullets more than the SBH. Fixing to try loading some 240 gr JHP to try on deer if I get one close this year, or maybe a coyote :)

Sweet! Just recently bought my first 44 mag pistol, a Ruger Redhawk 7 1/2 Hunter model. I am trying to find rings and a scope now. Now Dennis you got me thinking long gun 44 too! That is a nice looking set up.
