Here is a long article, written in 2006, by a Hungarian born professor. It is well worth the time it takes to read the article, as he explains what being American means to him. I'm sure many will disagree with his premise, but I find his perspective to be refreshing.

That was a great read. Thank your for sharing.

This story painted a great picture of the mindset and values that an era of (legal) immigrants had. It also provided a look into the future as to what liberal redistribution efforts could look like here in America.

When my folks visited me while I was stationed in Germany, a man came up to us as we played tourist and mentioned that he knew we were Americans. When my folks asked how he knew, he said it was the way we walked.
