Had a good morning in the stand. Saw lots of deer, the bucks were sparring most of the morning. I decided to take a mature doe if the opportunity presented itself. I missed low on the first one but she didn’t spook. Some bucks came in and ran her off to about 40 yards but she ended up coming back. At 20 yards I decided to try her again, she ducked the string hard and took an arrow to the neck, killing her instantly. I’ve had a couple really nice bucks on camera at this stand location, so I waited it out. About 30 minutes later another group of does came in and spotted this doe laying dead with an arrow sticking out of her neck. Naturally they had to come investigate, and I pinwheeled the lead doe at 12 yards. She ran about 80 yards and piled up. I have several hours of deer cleaning ahead of me now.
