2 hours and 15 min for snow closed ticker

I was watching CBS tonight in OKC and was watching the snow closing ticker running on the bottom of the screen. It took 2 hours and 15 minutes for their snow closing ticker to run completely from A-Z. Part of it was the shear number of closings, but a lot was from wasted space by not using abbreviations. Every use of Wednesday was spelled out instead of using Wed. It was to the point that their listing was ineffective and annoying.

I think that pretty describes the purpose of the three major networks ABC, NBC, CBS.

They probably would have been better served at showing what was still open instead of what was closed.....
