Just curious, what does a taxidermy like that cost? Only experience I have with it was when I caught a barracuda and they told me it was going to be like $450 to mount it, I paid about half down, then when I got home I got paperwork that ended up increasing the cost and including shipping was going to cost over $800 or something. I decided to say the hell with it and not throw any more good money after bad.

Kind of depends on who you pick as a taxidermist. My guy works out of his garage, and doesn't have a store front to support, so he is a little cheaper. He charges $400. Just went up this year. Some of the more well known big guys are usually a hundred or two higher. If you want a show quality mount, it can run over a thousand.

I'll find out. The jaw was pulled for aging. We think he was 3 1/2 yes old. No more than 4 1/2.
