Finally got out for the first time yesterday. The bite was slow but there were good ones to be had. My buddy caught the biggest crappie I've seen in person at 2.35lb. We caught several dinks and some decent and bass, all in 15-18 feet of water on live minnows.

I certainly hope so. I'm having withdrawals and I'm afraid the dog is going to try to pull the boat to the lake without me. She can't drive for crap. We've already been down that road and you can NOT teach a dog to navigate a boat. Just trust me and don't try it.

NICE slabs!

The year started out slow for us, but it's starting to pick up finally.

Saturday's top fish was a 3 pound 5oz Smallmouth:

Sunday my buddy caught a nice Saugeye that weighed 3 pound 10oz (not sure why it looks so small in the pic, but he is 6'2"):

The wife finally caught something yesterday! It was short (as were the rest), but we caught 44 of them! :)
