The .243 to me is a little saddening as I do not get good case fill with the powder and I would assume the 22-243 would be even worse.

22 WSSM i know nothing about except the case necks on the WSSM line of cartridges are thick and do not like to be down loaded.
Necks will not seal up the chambers well when downloaded.

But ya probably did not buy a WSSM to make it go slow.

You certainly can but you’d want to neck size to 243 first. Then trim and turn the necks then go with 22-243. I learned playing with wildcats to go in steps. I made all my 6.5-06 from 30-06 lapua brass . 22-243 is an excellent round. And still have several 6creed that I made from 6.5 creed brass. And I did the same with my 22 creed thankfully Peterson and hornady started making proper headstamped brass.
