.223 trajectory

Does the .223 round shoot flat? What is its max range? What kind of drop are you looking at for targets at 200 yds? 300 yds? Thanks

I'd say 223 has a useful rangle of about 250yrds for most shooters, more on a calm day. With my remington 700, I've shot ground squirrels regularly around 300yrds, but there was little wind, and it has a bull barrel and a Leuplold. As far as "shooting flat", from 200 to 300 it drops about 3 or 4 inches
