i have recently acqireda a22hornet im just wandering what the ballistics are for it ? like to try it for coyote huntin . im tryin to decide also what weigt bullets to reload in it i like the 35gr vmax

it falls between 22wmr and 223.

The hornet is a great round my old H&R handi took many a coyote
Will not get the range of the 223 but a little more power than a 22 mag
do"nt know about reloading with v max been alot of years since I loaded for
a hornet

I always wanted a .22 hornet. I wanted it in a Savage OU combo gun that had a 12 ga lower, and the .22 hornet upper barrel. Never have found one yet, although I have found some with the 20 ga lower.

my h&r loves the 35gr vmax, I use LILgun not sure of the amt but I think remington cases hold a gr more powder, Hogdon's sight should have the load data

thanks for your inputs i think i will use my 22-250 for coyote . and the hornet for short range p dogs. 22o swift
