The Remington 125 SJHP load still delivers the goods out of a 4" barrel after all these years. Just goes to show you don't have to remake the wheel on everything.

I'm keeping my eye out for a 340pd with no lock, maybe one of those kimbers but they look heavy. Found this to be a great resource of carry ammo data.

Winchester 130 +p looks great in both ranger & pdx1. I'd be happy with that in a 642.

I like 357 too but the research only shows the ballistics, there's more to it that gives an edge to 38splS&W. recoil, follow up shots, muzzle flash and the cheap lightweight 642 & 442s all over the market. IMO

Ranger and the Rem golden saber for the win in .38, golden saber and buffalo bore in .357. Just looking at 2" barrel tests.
