Is anyone else on here a fan of the third gen Smith and Wesson autoloaders? I love these guns and they seem to be getting harder to find and worth more every time I find one.

Yes, I've had a 5906 for a long time and it is a good shooter. I also like the smaller bobbed hammer one, but I forget the name. Their nomenclature always confused me. I would like to pick up another 5906 sometime that is in worse condition than mine, so I wouldn't feel bad about using it hard.

i picked up a nice 3913 from here and about a month later someone was selling a TSW 3913 that if I had seen it, I would have bought it, too!

fantastic single stacks imo. i get the double stax are harder to stack up against a polymer wonder nine, but man shooting all metal guns (even aluminum frame) is just way better.

I really want to find a single stack just haven’t found one for a price I’m willing to pay. And I totally agree I would rather shoot one of my smiths than most any gun I own

i paid $500 for mine and thought it was a fair deal. the TSW next month sold for a little bit more, a good deal there too.

when glocks are going for $500-$600, hard to see an all metal, discontinued firearm go for much less.

i have a sneaking suspicious there are still some cop trade in 5906's floating around that retailers might dish out at some point next year.

They're some of the best. I've had several over the years, but I've narrowed it down to a few keepers.
My favorites are the 4506 and the 39...and the 3913....and.... they're all my favorite.

thicker single stax, like a non-lady smith or a ppk with wood grips, just feel so much better to me than a double stax thicc boy. i mean i like full sized handguns, but when it comes to something that just *feels* right, they do it for me.
