4 to 6 position tube AR

When going from a 4 position buffer tube to a 6 position buffer tube on an AR, do I need to change out my 4p spring? It's currently a com spec carbine tube, looking to stay with like but move to 6p.

Should be the same overall length, just has 4 positions instead of 6.

Unless you switch to a rifle tube (for like a full length rifle stock), the spring is the same. FYI pistol tubes use a carbine spring too. (What you have is a carbine length spring, not a 4 position spring.)
