I see you and DH are voting for Bernie.
Yes... Bernie will make ammo plentiful and affordable for all!

How about: "Broke-ism" ? ... or ""Out-of-Business-ism" ?
That's right... business owners are the ultimate neckbeards. They make their living by buying stuff cheap and selling it as high as the market will bear. Things will not be right until all of these exploiters are driven out like the money changers from the temple.

The ability of this forum to take everything to extremes is absolutely mind blowing.

Complain about the .22 shortage? Maybe even call people names for perpetuating it? You're a communist socialist who hates the free market.

Sheesh. I haven't seen anyone suggest legal regulations on ammo purchases, just venting frustration at not being able to pick up a brick or two of .22 when needed.

Sometimes the drama queens in the gun world that have to make everything extremist make talking guns online unpleasant.

gah...

I think it depends on the thread involved.

I've gone through a couple tonight and wanted to do a huge multi quote, to show how the same poster advocates absolute free trade, and in another thread wants to limit the ability of a business to conduct the same.

Haven't figured out the cross post multi-post yet. :D

What's funny is it is a free market for every one of us here in Oklahoma - we each have the choice to get up early and purchase ammo at the same locations that the "neckbeards" do. If buying .22LR was my priority, I'd be at Academy or Wally World bright and early, buying up what I could. If you choose to do the same, buy all you want and then it's yours to do what you will, shoot it up, sell it at market cost, give it away, or sell it below cost as Hensch suggested. I think the latter is the way to go, maybe with some advertising prior to sale, so everyone gets a chance to purchase it at a "fair" price.

I joke around about the neck beards like anyone but I gave it some serious thought this morning.

on one hand its annoying that we cant walk into Walmart and buy a brick...

on the other hand, the neck beards are the ones putting in the work to show up early every morning to purchase the ammo...then reselling to compensate for their efforts.

Does purchasing ammo from a store front with the sole purpose of resale make it wrong? VS a business that purchases from a supplier then marks it up a few cents to pay the bills?

I guess technically it is illegal correct? at least if the profits are not claimed on taxes? Does illegal = bad?

hmm...I think we are all just butt hurt that we have to pay 7-8 cents per round when we know Walmart sells for 5-6...and blame the NBs for making us have to work for the 2 cent savings.

Sorry, just foolin' around getting down on the NB guys. But it IS still frustrating that things aren't the same as they used to be back in the day of plentiful, cheap .22 ammo. No real harm done eh?

Someone texted a guy I work with saying a local store had just received a big load of CCI Mini-Mags,,,
So he and another guy went there on their lunch hour and each bought 500 rounds,,,
Then they both offered to sell me what they had purchased.

Then I went on my lunch hour and purchased 500 more rounds of the stuff,,,
I'm going back after work and see if I can't score another 500 rounds.

That's twenty range trips if I'm frugal,,,
Ten if I'm feeling frisky with the trigger finger.

I'm not a hoarder as I shoot it almost as fast as I find it,,,
I just stocked up after the first ammo drought,,,
Now I try to replace it as I use it.

And I don't ever resell any of it,,,
In fact I've given away thousands of rounds.

One of the men today went to an Appleseed last year,,,
I loaned him the rifle he shot with and gifted him 500 rounds of ammo.

Several young boys and girls received some free ammo for their 4-H rifle matches,,,
Granted it was just some old Remington Golden Bullet bulk packs,,,
But I didn't charge them a penny for over 3,300 rounds.

So I don't think I'm a NeckBeard at all,,,
And since I'm just replenishing my bench stock,,,
I think that disqualifies me from even being called a hoarder.

I think Karma just decided to smile at me today,,, :thumbup3:
I'll take all of that good luck that I can get.
