Another "what snake is this?"

Just killed this guy out on my driveway last night. About 3-4ft long. Seemed kind of aggressive, coiled up and tried to strike a few times. From the online searches I've seen, I'm thinking King snake, but I'm just not sure. What do you think?

Not a copperhead. I think rat snake or king snake.


Be glad that reptile keeper still isint on here. He would crucify you over killing that poor snake. Forgot his screen name.

King snake or Milk Snake.
Not dangerous except to those who are terrified of snakes and jump all over the place to hurt themselves.
I would not have killed it as they love mice and if a king snake they also eat small copperheads

prairie kingsnake, corn snake or rat snake. hard to tell for sure. Def not venomous. I'm sorry you guys are so afraid of snakes. :-(
