Basically just looking for thoughts and opinions. Would really like to hear from actual users especially ones with the before and after installation.

My father added one to his Glock 43X and liked it enough he is adding a Timney to his Glock 41 (Apex doesn't make one for the 41). His use case is that he is older and needs the easier trigger pull on the Apex, I can't say to what is your interest. From talking to other S&W users of the earlier Shields, they were a must have upgrade. My newer Shield Plus trigger is good enough I haven't touched it. My Dagger I added a Wheaton Arms trigger, but just as easily could have gone with an Apex.

Converted the S&W 5" pro, gen 1 to an apex trigger.
The factory trigger was around 8 lb and gritty requiring lots of takeup.
The apex moved the trigger forward and made it similar to a 1911 trigger, but just similar with a smooth 5lb pull and shorter reset.
