Anybody get anything cool that is gun-related today?

My wife bought me a Marlin 917V .17HMR when they first came out years ago for a anniversary gift and I put a old scope on it that I had taken off another rifle and replaced it with a Nikon. Broke down and got one of the Cabelas caliber specific for the .17HMR. Will see how it works on next range trip. Never had a Cabelas scope before this one.

At my Wal Mart the .22 ammo is on the top two shelves,,,
But for some strange reason the Federal Bulk Packs are on the bottom shelf.

The plan for the ammo case has the rimfire rounds on the top two shelves but it doesn't always allow enough space to put the wide variety of .22 that has been available lately on the designated shelves. Where I work, we moved the rimfire down to the bottom "flex" section two years ago because the department manager and I were tired of seeing the empty shelves on top. Even with putting the minimum amount of each caliber out, we don't have enough space in the ammo cases to put all the ammo where it's supposed to go. I always try to ask what customers are looking for and point out all the places we have .22.

Picked up four more 550 round bulk packs of Federal from Wal Mart.

I want to have twenty packs on my shelf,,,
Then I'll just replenish as I use it.

Having a large "bench stock" is what got me through eight years of the Obama Shortage,,,
I'm just getting back to where I was with Bush as president.

I hear you. My bench stock of .22 went away for a couple of years and I refused to be gouged by those neckbeards that caused the shortage by over inflating the market, then sitting on their haunches saying I was a socialist because I wouldn’t fall into their trap.
Jokes on them when President Trump got elected.
I can’t tell you how many people I know are sitting on Fed/Rem bulk boxes of 550 they paid $50-$60 for sitting in their gun safes hoping Hillary gets elected in the next years so they can make $100 off the shoulders of fellow gun owners.

I haven't received it yet, but I ordered a new 16" barrel from Primary Arms the other day when they were having some sort of special sale on them. It's a Bear Creek Arsenal barrel, I don't know much about them, but for $50 I figured I'd give it a try. Should have it Saturday. Of course, I'm SLOWLY piecing together an AR based on an 80% lower that I finished, so there is no telling when I'll actually get to try it out. So far, I only have the lower and a drop in trigger to go with the barrel. :-)

Got mine in yesterday. Looks like nice barrel. Looking forward to this build. I've been gathering some parts, aero lower,nib BCG, I think I'll go with an A2 stock and flip sights. Keeping it simple

I bought a box of Hornady Critical Duty for $22, 4 boxes of Remington UMC for $9.49/ea at Academy, new ear plugs, and some Big League Chew.

I got mine in on Friday and I have to agree, it looks like a nice barrel.

I don't really know what direction in going to take with this build. I'm basically just picking up parts as I find what appears to be a good deal for me. I should probably be more organized than that, but that doesn't suit me to well. [emoji23][emoji23]

So we "reset" the ammo case last week and my manager decided to move the .22 back to the top but gave me carte blanc to arrange it the way I saw fit. I followed the diagram except where it didn't seem logical to me. Damn, we have a lot of .22 now... even the CCI shot shells! Not only that, we're getting them in 9 mm (no, not .9 mm) and .38 ACP, plus a 9 mm "cleaning shell." I still can't understand how that one works!
