I'm partial to my Podavach U-Loader, which will do both AR and AK mags. Only drawback is it's a little bulky to take to the range, so I mainly load up at home.

The maglula rocks for loading AR mags.

clips are faster, but ya gotta slide em in first.
Edit: Shot a match at the OKC gun club once where one of the stages required loading from clips.
I was in the middle of the squad to shoot and was amazed at how many had never seen a clip loaded for AR. They were dumping the rounds on the table and loading the mag one at a time. The folks behind me gained a lot of time on that stage watching how they are supposed to be used.

The spoons work great on aluminum mags. Not so much on the poly models. The sharp edges tend to dig in a bit.

I do not own a 5.56, 7.62x39, or any other evil black rifle. What few firearms I still own are bolt action hunting and 22s, and a few 9mm or 38s.

Don't let anybody fool you. Almost every competition shooter and everybody I meet that uses mine orders one for themself. Great item especially when using extended magazines. Those last two rounds can be almost impossible to load without the uplula.
