Got a buddy to trade me a 2 piece pump off of a 500 for the one piece pump from my maverick, so I can finally use the houge furniture I got from @Beau B forever ago! Thank you sir!

Picked up this Anderson lower yesterday while getting a transfer gun at my local shop. (Another shout out to Riverbank Firearms in Ada...Anderson lower AND a transfer for $65)

Kind of a impulse buy. So I put this old Colt lightweight A1 upper on it. The pistol grip is an A2 that I ground the finger f**kin' thing off of because they suck. Stock is an old-style 2-position (but on a 6-pos tube). I think it weighs right at 6 pounds with the mag in it. It'll just be a fun gun until I can do something appropriate with that really nice Colt upper.

**Oh... And the upper is one of those large-hole front pin sonsabeeyotches Colt made back in the 80s. I had one of the bushings to convert it...what a PITA those are to get lined up right.

We needed something to keep the house guns in that was relatively secure. Low-end Chinesium safe but it should work for what we want. Pretty good deal on them at Tractor Supply.

$449 marked down to $349 minus $60 in Neighbor Rewards minus 5% back in rewards makes it $275 + tax.

I just bought a bigger safe today from Tractor Supply and going to pick it up later this week. I outgrew my 36gun Winchester. Not looking forward to moving one out and a bigger one in though….

Just put them side by side. We all know the truth of the matter.

I have another use for my old one. It is moving temporarily.

Plus the wife doesn’t want two safes in the bedroom. I’ll abide.
Can't put 2 safes in the same room. Who wears the pants in that family? :laugh6: Ok , i admit I had same issue that is why there is a safe in the master bedroom, dining room, both spare bedrooms and garage.

I tried for an 80 gun and told her we would just put it in the living room.. she didn’t like it. I’ll let her win this one though since she’s the bread winner currently. Lol

That's what is in the dining room and she hates it. But she bought it for Christmas one year to keep me from having guns all over the house in every closet and corner. Then that was as far as me and my son could get it. I decided that's where it was staying at 997lbs.

Got a few goodies this weekend.

The Gunsmithing book is.... frankly amazing.

It has dozens of tables and charts, complete formulas and instructions for a dozen different ways to do hot and cold bluing, cartridge and chamber measurements, repair tips and how-to, how to do checkering, and much, much more.

I've made a verrrry lengthy post over here on in. (Warning, it has almost 50 full size photos)

The Colt book is OK but not quite what I was hoping for.

The Marble Bulleye sight should be interesting. I can't wait to install it and try it out.
