Stumbling about on the 'net in anticipation of receiving a couple suppressors, I came across this site http://www.rrdvegas.com/silencer-cleaning.html which advocates warming suppressor parts to 250F, immersing in silicone (DOT 5 brake fluid), allowing to cool then reassembling. It more or less prevented the fouling from attaching itself to parts and dramatically reduced cleanup time.
