Yeah, I am a member there and shoot quite often. I was hoping for somewhere where I could shoot longer more often; I hoped that maybe in the SE or panhandle area there might be some flat public land to stretch a a rifle I am having built.

Not sure what the rules are about shooting without a "range" on public land is, but there's a lot of public land where you could shoot 1000 yards in the western part of the state..........getting the wind to cooperate, would be next to impossible I would think, especially driving from Tulsa.
To many rules, can't be over .35 cal and any competitor that does not hit the target within the first 5 rounds will be disqualified.
Additionally, even if you get a place to shoot past 1000 yards, the topography of the land and the vegetation start to become a problem.
