Not old school like the last vid i posted. Please note that I am not personally a fan of the material used for the bolt, but the technology is still impressive.

What is your complaint about 8620. Good steel that is heat treatable. Neat machining operation. Weird live tooling lathe milling operation.

I prefer Carpenter 158 for AR bolts. It is a superior alloy for the application, and not prohibitively expensive. 8620 and 9130 are cheaper and are satisfactory for most shooters when they are processed correctly,(heat treat, HP/MPI, etc.)
