ATA/AIM National Shoot 2019.....Oklahoma Team

Oklahama was represented well at the 2019 ATA/AIM National shoot in Sparta, Illinois this last week. Three dozen Oklahoma youth from across the state ages 12-22 brought home scholarships, individual shooting awards and squad awards in trap, sporting clays and skeet....too many for me to remember them all. Several 100/100 and 200/200 shot out of this group. These five won top sub junior AAA trap singles team by dropping only 24 out of 1000 targets. Great kids and a great time.

Yes and they dropped more targets than usual. Second place was 11 targets behind them.

We were staying in a hotel in Elkhart, Indiana a week ago or so, and one of the occupants of the hotel was a young man that was involved with some competition shooting. His mother was telling me that there was also a young lady on the team that was really showing up a bunch of other shooters.

Not likely the same competition as Sparta, IL is 400 miles from Elkhart, IN.

I’ve shot sporting clays against that young lady.
It’s humbling.
Congrats to the team, the daughter, and the parents that gave up their time and money to get them to that level of shooting!
