If you want a decent cowboy plinker on a budget,,,
That rough rider is an excellent choice.

I bought one on a whim a few years ago,,,
I shot about a half a Federal bulk pack through it.

It went bang every time I pulled the trigger,,,
And seemed to be as precise a shooter as my old eyes could utilize.

After I shot the new out of it,,,
I gifted it to a good friend's daughter.

I was in Atwood's (Stillwater) just a few days ago,,,
I perused their gun cabinet and found several decent prices.

I was sorely tempted by a Taurus TX-22 for $229.00,,,
That's way cheaper than buds gun shop.

I almost bought it just to use as a gift for a young man I know,,,
But then my better sense took over and I passed,,,
It was just such a good deal.

Atwood's surprises me every now and then.

I really like the TX22. And I'm not a Taurus fan at all. That's a really good price too.

So you're out $109 for a rough rider.
I can tell you from experience that you can put at least 750 rounds down one before it gets boring (plus we upgraded), and then it's still worth a solid $100.
They're always worth buying for the $99 sale price. I wish the Barkeep would go that cheap.
