That's terrible, that is seriously hardcore and dangerous work, very sad. I've seen some pretty horrendous workplace accidents, some fatal and it's hard to wrap your head around it. You're talking to someone one minute and the next they're gone, I hope that whatever the cause was, it's corrected to keep from happening again.
That is a bad day, and quite sad. That is a dangerous job.
Guys like Sean Hannity constantly push people to run to the oilfields for what he never says, but almost implies, is easy money. It can be hard, dangerous work, and I respect you guys who do it. My father in law worked on rigs for years in west Texas and Oklahoma, when my wife was young, and has told me a few stories of accidents, etc. There's money there, but it ain't "easy money", for sure.
Last story I saw on it, said it was a sand separator that washed out.
